Happy 4th of July

I know it has been a while, but you know how life gets. Tons of stuff to do. Just take this morning for instance. We went to downtown Newnan and downtown Moreland to the Market square to see all the great craft vendors. What I have discovered is how clean our town must be! No lie, every other booth someone was selling soap! At least we will smell good. I bought some homemade soap from my friends Craig and Josie Exner. They raise bees and sell honey and honey products. YUM! I can't wait to try it. Tonight we will go to the Parade and watch the fireworks... July 4th is always so much fun. I even made dessert with strawberries, blueberries and homemade whip cream. (so easy by the way)

This year I appreciate our Independence even more than ever. As we read novel after novel about how we won our Independence this year homeschooling, I appreciate the sacrifice that was made! Also as I watch the news and see how so many of the freedoms that we once had are being taken away. I guess we either need to stand up and fight to keep them or just enjoy them while we have them. Because if it keeps going this way we will be in Socialism in no time!Sorry for my soap box.. disregard if you just wanted to hear about my up coming workshop!

I am getting ready for a new workshop finally! Everyone is always so busy in the summer that it is difficult to get people together at the same time, so I will post about the August 8th workshop in a few! It will be tons of fun!
